About us

In the 1980’s, when I began working in the funeral industry, a large foreign company was purchasing many of the funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoriums in the country, and Americanizing our industry. I witnessed profit being put before people. This funeral service conglomerate was then placed onto the Australian stock market and is now owned by profit demanding stock holders. These funeral homes now claim on web sites and advertisements to be Australian owned for this reason. They are not a truly Australian family owned business.

With this in mind my family opened Sincerity Funerals in 1997 to provide a level of personal care that had been lost in the funeral industry. As the Owner and Director of the Company, I arrange and conduct each funeral myself on every possible occasion.

How many funeral company owners or share holders can say that? It is my hope that my three sons will continue to grow this company into the best Australian family owned Company it can be.

At Sincerity Funerals we do not have staff arranging funerals on commission based bonuses. We do not attempt to up sell you to a more expensive casket by saying “surely mum deserves this coffin”. I usually recommend a choice of three coffins that are all beautiful, and they are all the same price. We have others available like every other funeral director but we pride ourselves on keeping things simple as we know this helps to ease the stress and burden of your loss.

Our premises, chapel, cars and mortuary are modern, registered and located in Sydney’s South.

The chapel or viewing room is suitable for small groups of family or friends should they need to say goodbye in private, for personal or cultural reasons. The hearses are available in black or white as well as limousine and sedan mourning cars, should you require them. We cater for all types of funeral services for all ages of people, with compassion and dignity, but simply at a more affordable price.

Our proud Shire family has long ties with Surf Life Saving in the area. My sons are a part of nippers at a Bate Bay Surf Club as I was, and I am also now a squad leader. My boys attend the local public school and play soccer and rugby for clubs in the area, whilst I enjoy lawn bowls at Caringbah Bowling Club. My wife was born and raised in Miranda and she assists me with our family funeral business when not working part time at Sutherland Hospital. Our local family is here to personally assist your local family in your time of need.
